CAFES and the People's Official Plan Coalition have completed a written submission on Bill 23, the "More Homes, Built Faster Act" to the Standing Committee on Heritage, Infrastructure and Cultural Policy. CAFES also joined the POP coalition at a rally outside City Hall to stand with the municipal government in opposing Bill 23. We heard from speakers including Moe Garahan, Executive Director of Just Food, Kaite Burkholder Harris, Executive Director, Alliance to End Homelessness Ottawa, and Bader Abu Zahra, Chair of Ottawa-Vanier ACORN Chapter on various elements of why this piece of legislation must go.
