The annual Fridays for Future Climate March will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 – and you won’t want to miss out!
The climate march is a city-wide day of action taking place usually in September to stand together for the shared call for climate action. This day is part of a larger international movement calling for climate action and economic justice worldwide, led by Fridays for Future and inspired by Greta Thunberg.
In Ottawa, this united and multi-generational approach brings together a broad coalition to help organize the march. In past years the coalition has included seniors groups, labour unions, student associations, faith organizations, environmental groups, and many others from across the Ottawa-Gatineau region. Working with so many other passionate, action-driven organizations has been an exciting experience over the years. We are thrilled to call Fridays for Future Ottawa-Gatineau a CAFES member, and we are excited to join in on the action again this year.
