Connect with Fellow CAFES Members on Slack

Are you a member of CAFES? Have you joined the Slack channel?

CAFES Ottawa has a dedicated Slack space just for members. Our Slack channel is a place to connect, collaborate, and build community with others who care about climate action, sustainability, and local impact. Whether you’re looking to share ideas, ask questions, or find collaborators, Slack makes it easy to stay engaged between events.

How to Sign In

  1. Check your email for your Slack invitation link

Once you become a member of CAFES, you are sent an email with the Slack invitation link. Note: invite links are only valid for 30 days after they’re generated. If your invite link has expired, email Mitzi at info@cafesottawa.ca for a new one.

Once you click on the invite link, you will be given the option to sign in/register with Slack using your email address. You may receive a code through your email to complete the sign in.

  1. Download the Slack app (optional) or use it in your browser
  2. Set up your profile so others can get to know you
  3. Start exploring channels and join conversations

We have created a User Guide to help you navigate Slack. If you run into technical issues please email us at any time at info@cafesottawa.ca.

Now you are on Slack, but you’re not sure what to post? Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Climate action ideas and local initiatives
  • Urban agriculture, gardening, and food systems
  • Event recommendations and recaps
  • Volunteer and collaboration opportunities
  • Questions about sustainability practices
  • Sharing your own projects, wins, and challenges

There’s no pressure to be an expert, this is a space to learn, share, and grow together.
