On April 9, CAFES successfully relaunched Green Drinks Ottawa at The Prescott on Preston Street! The relaunch drew over 70 people through the doors for an evening of networking, conversation, and a whole lot of energy. The room was buzzing with new connections being made and old ones being rekindled.
The Lightning Talks portion of the event highlighted some of the local environment and climate wins to inspire climate hope among the participants. Four organizations took the spotlight to share what they’re working on and what’s possible right here in Ottawa:
- Growcer: making local food systems more resilient
- Ecology Ottawa: championing a greener, more sustainable city
- Rewild Landscapes: bringing native plants and biodiversity back to urban spaces
- TerraFixing: tackling climate solutions head-on
