CAFES is part of the Mayor’s Roundtable on Environment, an initiative that brings leading community environmental organizations together with the City’s leadership to identify actions on ecology, livability, sustainability, and climate resilience in Ottawa.
We’ve participated in several meetings throughout 2025 and 2026, discussing concrete steps the City can take and offering advice and ideas to Mayor Sutcliffe. These have been frank discussions — not everyone always agrees, but all parties come away having learned something. The Mayor’s office has been exceptional at following up on issues raised from the community side. We look forward to the meaningful advances that can be made in environment and climate issues in the city through this collaboration.
